Hey Admin. The new board won't accept my user name or password. It doesn't recognize it. :(
I like the polls page.

Hi, Admin. Me too - my user name or password are not being accepted.
Looks like it will be a nice site!
Comment #3: Alma said on 10/22/06 @ 12:20pm ET...
Wonder if we have to re-register there Tia?
Nolip, did you have to re-register?
Comment #4: Truth_in_action said on 10/22/06 @ 12:43pm ET...
Alma, JC said he was checking to see if the logins were working, so I'm assuming they were moved over. Nolip, were you able to get right on???
Comment #5: MAX 1 said on 10/22/06 @ 1:45pm ET...
Oops, I got the same thing.
Comment #6: koryannder said on 10/22/06 @ 2:19pm ET...
Doesn't love me either! Must be a glitch somewhere.
Comment #7: koryannder said on 10/22/06 @ 3:45pm ET...
And, no - - - I haven't forgotten my password - but apparently the new site has forgotten everyone's password!
Comment #8: Admin said on 10/22/06 @ 4:01pm ET...
OK everyone. What I suspect is that the usernames and passwords have yet to be migrated. Once you register, though, you can post right away.
Comment #9: Rusty said on 10/22/06 @ 4:07pm ET...
When I tried to log in, I got an error message informing me that I do not exist. The screen faded, then the Republican National Committee's homepage appeared, featuring the breaking news that Congressman Conyers has just been arrested by Homeland Security for an unpaid 1967 parking ticket, which proves he's a terrorist, and has been renditioned to Paraguay.
Call me sentimental, but I liked the old blog better.
Comment #10: unspun said on 10/22/06 @ 4:25pm ET...
I got the same "Sorry. Unrecognized username or password" message.
Comment #11: Truth_in_action said on 10/22/06 @ 4:30pm ET...
Rusty, maybe you liked the old blog better because you could post on it! (tee hee hee)
I'm sure we'll be up and running soon.
Right, Admin?
Comment #12: Truth_in_action said on 10/22/06 @ 5:05pm ET...
Well folks, I did what Admin advised (missed his posting previously), and I got on JC's new site.
Just register, get sent the new password, and post away! Use your same name.
Comment #13: Truth_in_action said on 10/22/06 @ 5:07pm ET...
Well, folks, I screwed up and didn't get my password updated. Make sure you go and get a new password because the one they send you is a one-time password. Read the instructions (unlike myself).
Comment #14: koryannder said on 10/22/06 @ 5:46pm ET...
Nope - it still doesn't know me - I'll try to register anew and see if that makes any differmints
Comment #15: koryannder said on 10/22/06 @ 5:56pm ET...
Admin - I tried - - - honest, I tried - - - I get "Sorry - the username koryannder is not recognized."
()U)(&(*^(*&%$%#%^%&^*(&(*&%^#%$
I give up! I will try again tomorrow. Maybe it'll recognize me by that time - or have we been terminally hacked?
I can't use my same name if it won't recognize me - and considering the gyrations I had to go through to get on here, I don't want to go through all that hassle again. Ended up with a 'phone call to me from JC;s office - very nice person straightened it all out. Do we gotta do that again? hope not. If this site recognizes koryannder and my p/w, why can't the new one? Different server?
Comment #16: unspun said on 10/22/06 @ 6:42pm ET...
Thanks for the info TIA. I re-registerd at the new blog, got my temp password via my e-mail addy, signed in, edited my PW and then posted successfully.
Comment #17: Reed31463 said on 10/22/06 @ 11:51pm ET...
I just re-registered to save a lot of hassles.
Six years ago incidents like this would have drawn huge media attention. Now the government, military, and para-military run around the country looking for terrorists. Welcome to fascism America! This news item comes via this blog.
Comment #18: Chemung said on 10/23/06 @ 2:53am ET...
Nice goin John.
Just shut down your blog a few weeks before the election.
Is the CIA torturing you?
Comment #19: Reed31463 said on 10/23/06 @ 11:30am ET...
Surprise! Diebold source code appearing at a mailbox near you.
Comment #18: Chemung is right. Leave well enough alone until after the election. Get the new site up and functioning, work out all the bugs, then migrate on the 9th of November. Make it a four day weekend to work out any glitches.
But hey just my opinion.
Just like it is Nancy Pelosi's opinion that making George and Dick lame ducks is good enough for her. Forget war crimes and trying to steal the country from the people and giving it to the super rich. That was just a crazy, but professional political move.
Perhaps this will be true until they come for her children and grandchildren, put them in uniform to fight the global imperialistic war for terrorization.
But hey, what do I know. I am not a politician or a lawyer. I can't lie half as good as the people in those professions.

Didn't reckanize me. I started a new account, using the name "Nezua," which I use elsewhere online.

Alas I was also rejected on the NEW BLOG!
Can someone explain the reasoning behind the change of venue right at the moment of truth?
Don,t we have enough to do without making thoughts about this blogs whereabouts?
After the election ,probably would have been better, especially when we are celebrating the new Senate and House majorities!
Remember folks
Vote D for FREEDOM!

JC's new blog seems to be stuck in a loop and won't let me in. I get "PAGE NOT FOUND" after logging in. Despite four tries to log in, I cannot get in. I informed Admin.
In the meantime (spare not an idle opportunity), here's a link I wanted to share.
Bush Moves Toward Martial Law

See the full HR 5122 Act referenced in my post #26 above by going to www.Thomas.gov, select "bill number," type in HR.5122 in the search box and press the search key. Choose the last bill listed which was passed by both House and Senate (and hope no one snuck in anything funky before it was signed. Isn't that how they're doing it these days?).
Here is Bush's signing statement to HR 5122.

Karl Rove has been bragging for weeks about his "72-hour program" to swing the elections, which predict a Democratic takeover of Congress.
Now we know what it is: a dirty trick campaign using robocalls.
The calls are made to Democrats and swing voters at all times of day or night to make them angry. And they pretend to be from the Democrat ("Hello, I'm calling with information about Lois Murphy"). If you hang up, they call back 7-8 times, and each time you hear the Democrat's name, to get you angry at him or her. If you stay on, you get to hear a scathing attack on the Democrat.
Karl Rove's whole career has been devoted to dirty tricks. In 2002, his dirty trick was to force Congress to vote shortly before Election Day for the Iraq War based on two months of White House lies about WMD's and Al Qaeda ties. That dirty trick has cost the lives of 2,834 brave young Americans (16 so far in November), $2 trillion in debt to our children and grandchildren, and unleashed massive bloodshed in Iraq.
It's too late for legal action or even newspaper stories. If you receive one of these calls, write down the time and candidate and call every radio and TV show you can and urge everyone listening to vote against the disgusting Republican dirty tricksters. And forward this email to everyone you know so they aren't fooled by Karl Rove's dirty trick.
Let's make this Karl Rove's LAST campaign by voting ALL Republicans out of office.

I miss this nice easy to read board soooo much.
Comment #31: Amos said on 11/29/06 @ 2:48pm ET...
I also miss this format…
Even though I don’t post as much I still read this forum and I miss the straight ahead form seen here. The new site among other things doesn’t recognize my name or password in association with me. I am denied entry to the new site as Amos and that is a drag. No help came from the administration when requested about the new site – with the changeover coming at the time of the election – and now impeachment is off the table… WTF?
I still support Congressman Conyers and his blog and bloggers and I am willing to wait that much longer to see justice dealt to Bush and his administration when the actual gavel is in JC’s hand come January and the whip hopefully comes down… With any justice at all impeachment is still in the near future. Far worse than all that have come before is this farce named George W. Bush.
Impeach for justice or impeach for salvation but impeach… Cleanse us of this stench…
Comment #32: Alma said on 11/29/06 @ 3:32pm ET...
Did you try signing up at the new board Amos? Thats what I did and it let me sign up using my old user name and pass word.
Comment #33: Amos said on 11/30/06 @ 3:03pm ET...
Hi Alma… I’m not exactly sure where you mean by “the new board” but I did try just about everything over there. I am now logged in over there as Soma but I would have liked to retain my old name and password. I was disappointed that there was no help from the administration but I guess that happens. I saw where everyone was helping each other and that was great and so I thank you for trying to help me here. I will continue over there with my new name as I reckon it really doesn’t matter that much in the big picture. Thanks again for your help – Amos
